Minsk is the capital and largest megalopolis of Belarus. Its history starts from 11th century. The city has an extensive public transport system: tramway lines, trolleybus lines, bus lines, an underground metro (2 lines) and taxis. Nowadays most of the intercity transport is modern and comfortable. Paying a dollar will be enough to travel on three different types of transport, which will take you to most beautiful Minsk sightseeing places, such as Minsk Arena, City Gate Towers of Minsk, National Library, Troetskoye Predmestie (The Old Town) and others. If you are a fan of history and culture, you might be interested in visiting: Belarusian National History and Culture Museum or Old Belarusian History Museum.
